Cuttack: Two more accused were arrested by Chauliaganj police on Friday on charges of threatening key witnesses of the sensational Dipu alias Manoj Mallick murder case in Cuttack.
Acting on a tip-off, the Chauliaganj police conducted raids last night and nabbed the duo. The arrested have been identified as as Samir Das and Rajesh Barik.
With arrested of the two, the total arrest for terrorising eye-witnesses of the murder case reached at seven.
Earlier in July, police had arrested five persons for threatening deceased Dipu’s father with dire consequences.
Dipu and another aid of him were beaten to death by the D-brothers on November 12 in 2013 and their associates in a farm house near Ansupa in Athagarh. They later took the bodies Jharkhand and burnt with petrol before being buried to eliminate evidence.
Gangster brothers – Sushil and Sushant Dhalasamant are serving jail terms, who were arrested earlier in the case.
