1st ODI: Windies set 323-run target for India
Guwahati: Shimron Hetmyer (106) scored a brilliant century as West Indies set a target of 323 runs against India in the first ODI of the five-match series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday.
India won the toss and elected to field first in the first ODI against West Indies. The visitors got off to a rapid start and set a competitive target of 322 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
While Hetmyer scored 106 runs off 78 balls, opener Kieran Powell contributed 51 runs. Captain Jason Holder scored 38 of 42 deliveries.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the Indian bowlers with three wickets, while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets each.
