140 tribal youths from Odisha embark on India tour

Bhubaneswar: As many as 140 tribal youths from Odisha left for an all India tour of the 11th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme (TYEP) on Friday.

Around 60 Tribal youths from Koraput and 80 from Malkangiri district have participated in the tour.

The youths, under the supervision of the Border Security Force (BSF), started their journey across India to get exposure to the traditional and cultural heritage of our nation.

The programme aims to sensitise the tribal youth about the rich cultural heritage of the Country and enable them to appreciate the concept of ‘unity in diversity’. It will help them to expose development activities.

Besides, the exchange will also help the tribal youths to develop emotional linkage with the people in other parts of the country and to develop their personality by enhancing their understanding of the core life skills, identifying their skill development needs and providing them necessary career counselling.
